Vacancy Senior Business Developer

CR2O is a fast-growing Clinical Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in providing high-quality clinical trial services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. The Senior Business Developer will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of CR2O. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and securing new partnerships and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development within the clinical research or CRO industry, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset to capitalize on emerging market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive the company’s growth, expand its client base, and achieve financial targets;
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and capabilities;
  • Lead market analysis and competitive intelligence activities to anticipate trends, identify emerging needs, and stay ahead of competitors.

2. Lead Generation & Opportunity Identification:

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships;
  • Identify high-value prospects using targeted outbound strategies, , LinkedIn outreach, and attending industry events, conferences, and networking sessions.

3. Marketing

  • Develop compelling, personalized messaging that resonates with target prospects based on their specific pain points, goals, and industry challenges;
  • Collaborate with marketing vendor to leverage content marketing, SEO, webinars, , and case studies to generate inbound leads from individuals and organizations actively seeking solutions;
  • Actively manage the company’s brand presence in industry-specific forums, and social media platforms, to build credibility and attract more inbound leads;
  • Actively participate in industry groups, webinars, and speaking engagements to raise awareness of the company and establish relationships with potential clients.

4. Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies;
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing solutions that align with clients’ needs, timelines, and budget considerations;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful project delivery.

5. Sales & Proposal Development:

  • Take a lead role in the preparation and submission of RFPs (Requests for Proposals), bids, and other commercial proposals;
  • Ensure all proposals are aligned with client requirements and the company’s capabilities;
  • Negotiate and close deals to meet sales targets and drive business growth.

6. Networking & Industry Representation:

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and build key partnerships;
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape to inform business strategy and positioning.

7. Collaboration with Leadership:

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to set clear growth goals, business priorities, and objectives;
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, performance metrics, and market insights.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

  • 7+ years of business development experience, with a focus on clinical research, CRO services, or related life sciences industries.
  • Proven track record in winning new business and successfully managing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements, and the healthcare landscape.

Skills:

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage C-suite executives and key decision-makers.
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

Other Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and support business development activities.
  • Fluent in English.
